Description

Responsibilities: • Provide strategic legal counsel to management and business units on the company’s products, operational activities, and potential regulatory challenges. • Conduct regulatory research and prepare trackers for changes to the regulatory requirements in various jurisdictions. • Assess and advise on business risks and compliance matters to ensure all company activities adhere to applicable laws and regulations. • Ensure that products and business practices comply with the regulatory frameworks of the target operational countries and relevant international laws. • Develop and maintain the company’s compliance infrastructure, including drafting User Agreements and Privacy Statements and establishing robust processes to comply with international law. • Correspond with regulatory agencies and enforcement authorities on their requests. • Regularly draft, review, and amend terms of service for users, vendor agreements, and promotional materials to protect corporate interests. • Collaborate closely with the Compliance team on key projects, including licensing and other regulatory matters. Requirements: • Relevant legal qualification, with proven experience as legal counsel in the financial services sector, emphasizing cryptocurrency and regulatory compliance. • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. • Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, providing legal guidance that aligns with strategic business objectives. • Licensed to practice in Singapore, Hong Kong, UK or EU; additional knowledge of international law is highly beneficial.
